Resurrection
From Linkrealms
It happens to everyone, repeatedly: you receive a fatal wound and you die. Death transports your “spirit” to the spooky Astral Plane, where you see your character as a floating angel. Fortunately, resurrection is not that difficult.
At the moment, there are three ways to resurrect:
- By moving your dead character over a Resurrection Shrine (Pentagram circle with smoking candles). These are mostly Located in Dungeons and all over Shamnorwood.
- By moving your dead character to ‘collect’ (pass through) the Cherubs are flying around in the ethereal universe. Collect about 4 cherubs to resurrect your character. You can ask other players to ‘pray’ to create cherubs to help you resurrect (note that dead players can only communicate with the living through global speech, but the dead can communicate with other spirits via normal typed speech).
- While Standing next to a Player, who uses the Battle Tactic Sacrifice
When you resurrect, most items will automatically be restored to you.
However, some items may be left on your corpse, so double-click your corpse to check for stray items. Some food items may spoil when you die. Note that if you do not resurrect and loot your corpse within 20 minutes, items left on your corpse will be permanently lost when your corpse decays. You will only have one health-point upon resurrection, so be sure to heal yourself with food or drink as quickly as possible. If your corpse is surrounded by monsters, you may need to lure them away or seek the help of other players before you are able to access your corpse. Note that anyone can loot a corpse’s inventory.
Tip: In the Astral Plane of death, beware of the occasional Parasight monster who may attempt to slow your resurrection.
