Prospecting

Prospecting is a Skill that involves digging and panning for valuable Items in the ground.

Currently, there is only one method to raising your Prospecting Skill level, as follows:

1. Dig a hole in the ground using a Shovel.

2. Check the hole for valuables, such as Geodes or Fossils.

3. Remove the dirt, sand, or guano, and drop it in a Prospecting Pan.

4. Remove any valuable looking items, such as Gold Dust, Gold Nuggets, Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold Bars, or Coins.

You can also use a Metal Detector to help find buried items.

Almost all items found while Prospecting can be sold to the Banker.

Several Weapons can only be found while Prospecting.

Tips for Prospecting:

1. Digging the holes for Prospecting does deplete your thirst and hunger meter, so make sure to have some food and drink if you are going to do it for a while.
2. Occasionally when you dig a hole, a Larva will appear. They can drop 0-2 Silk Thread Windings. For low level players they may be too difficult.
3. Make sure to move around as you dig, if you dig in the same spot, your hole will be empty.
4. If you are in a new area, and your hole appears empty, check the borders of the hole, since the piles of dirt can be hard to spot.
